The term cerebral palsy or CP refers to a group of chronic disorders that affect the body movement and muscle co-ordination of the person affected with the disorder. It is normally when there is a lack of supply to the brain or an accident in which the brain of the child is affected. It is also defined as the loss of the movement or loss of nerves. The brain is unable to send proper messages or signals to the various body parts due to which involuntary body movements are observed. It happens during infancy or shortly after the birth of a child.

Education of a CP Victim

Education of a cerebral palsy affected person or a child is one of the most important and significant steps in making his/ hers life a progressive one. The term education not only refers to the academic part of the child with CP but also the other aspects such as improving learning abilities, focusing on the areas of speech and communication and many more depending on the severity of the disorder and the areas affected by it.

The various organizations and other related institutions are focusing on the developmental aspects of these people. In these institutions, proper care of these people is taken with respect to their education and other development programs. The main aim of these institutions is to help these CP affected people live an independent and a progressive life. Also the teachers are given a proper training on how to help to establish communication with these people. Physicians and psychiatrists focus on the body posture and mental abilities of the sufferers. A proper diagnosis of the disorder affecting each individual is taken and then accordingly the treatment is carried out.

It is observed that no two persons with the same diagnosis are alike and hence different treatment is carried. They are also helped for improving the motor skills of their brain. Significant success has been achieved by these people. It has been observed that learning abilities and communication abilities along with highly intellectual thinking is improving because of these educational and other developmental programs.

So it has been proved that a proper education and guidance from experts such as physicians and psychiatrists has helped to reduce the effect to a considerable measure. Miracles of people being cured almost fully are happening even though the disorder cannot be totally cured.
