Cerebral Palsy Schools- Institutions for a Good Cause

The term Cerebral Palsy refers to the group of chronic conditions affecting the body movements and muscle co-ordination during infancy or shortly after the birth. Cerebral Palsy is caused due to lack of supply of oxygen to the brain or an accident causing injury to the brain. It is a non- progressive and non- communicable disorder. It is not inherited either. People often mistake it as the disease and not a disorder.

People suffering from the disorder are affected by the disease due to lack of supply of oxygen or an accident causing injury to the brain during the early period of birth. Although there are other conditions that are other conditions that are responsible for causing the disorder, the actual cause of cerebral palsy is still not known. There are various effects observed on a human body. Effects such as mental retardation, lack of muscle co-ordination, abnormal body posture and behavior and communication problems are some of the effects of cerebral palsy to name a few.

Although cerebral palsy is not curable, efforts are made to minimize the effects of the disorder. Thankfully, the government as well as the private organizations, initiates a number of efforts to help these people affected with cerebral palsy. There are a number of schools opened by the government and private institutions all over the world. The main aim of these schools is the development of these people along with making them to learn to live independently. There are teachers and other people actively taking part in these organizations only for the purpose of social development. These people are either medical experts such as doctors, physicians or psychiatrists or they are the common people who are willingly ready to work for these CP affected people.

These experts and social workers are assigned a job and given a proper training for being able to communicate with these people. They are trained in their respective professions and the students are given the utmost priority of helping themselves to develop. The areas like body posture, effective communication and speech areas are given preference depending on the severity of the disorder affecting the individual. Case of individual is taken personally and the treatment is accordingly given to the patient. There are miraculous effects observed on these students like improvement in speech and communication and intellectual thinking to mention a few.
