Check up your tooth diseases
Prevention is better then cures. But this is not the case with problem related to tooth diseases. Often people visit dentist when the problem become major. This is a common practice done by every body. Nobody like visiting dentist especially children but teeth are also important part of our body. Like we take care of other body parts, we must also take sincere care of our teeth.
Right time to visit a dentist
There is no specific time for visiting a dentist. It is even not necessary to wait for dentist unless you have some problem. Visit whenever you have time and go for routine checkup. There are many different problems related to teeth but among all these are major occurring diseases.
Dental caries- they are the dental decay resulting from the action of bacteria on sugar foods. The cavity is the hole left after the removal of decay.
Dental erosion-this is the loss of hard tooth tissue mostly caused by acidic attack.
Periodontal disease- this is infection of the gums caused by bacteria. They are not major problem if you respect them and treat properly. But any carelessness will land up you into deep trouble.
Food habit - major causes of dental diseases
Most of dental problem are caused by our improper way of eating habits. Food habit consisting of sugar and sweets are the major contributor of dental disease. Chewing of tobacco and smoking is also a major contributor. Deficiencies of vitamins D and A and protein-energy malnutrition have been associated with enamel hypoplasia and salivary gland atrophy which reduces the mouth's ability to buffer plaque acids, which render the teeth more susceptible to decay. Healthy food habit can avoid dental problem. Food consists of fruits and calcium is good for teeth.
Develop good habit
Visiting dentist is really painful especially when you have major problem. To avoid that get proper dental checkup for any kind of tooth disease is necessary. Start healthy eating habit. Avoid sweets and take more fruits and milk instead. Brush twice a day and flush your mouth properly after eating. Your minor precautions will help to keep your teeth healthy and disease free.
