The drinks that are harmful for the teeth and must be avoided or consumed at an extremely minimum level are soda drinks, drinks that contain caffeine like tea and coffee, soda pop and powdered soft drinks. Especially, the soda drinks are harmful for the teeth to a great extent. Soda drinks contain certain chemicals and gases like carbon dioxide, which react with the calcium in the teeth and make them weaker. Also, elements like caffeine can also have an adverse effect if they are consumed in excess and can stain the teeth immensely. Even sweetened drinks like juices or syrups must be kept to a bare minimum as they can cause the teeth to decay.
Instead individuals must opt for drinks like milk and fresh fruit juices with no sugar are ideal drinks for having strong and healthy teeth. Milk has an impressive amount of calcium that is extremely beneficial not just for the teeth but also for the bones in the body. Milk provides resistance power to the teeth and the teeth become very strong with regular intake of milk. Even water is good for the teeth and individuals must prefer water instead of any other drink while having their meal.
Drinks constitute an important part of the daily diet and hence must be selected properly to ensure strong and healthy teeth.
